These terms apply to this website and to consultations taken with Aditya Shastri. Booking a consultation means you have read and accepted them. They are deliberately plain: you should be able to tell what you are agreeing to.

What a consultation is
A consultation is a reading of your birth chart in the traditional Vedic (jyotiṣa) method, applied to a situation you raise. The chart, the divisional charts and the daśā periods are studied in advance of the call. The consultation runs about thirty minutes, one to one, by video, in Hindi or English.
What you are paying for is his time, his preparation and his reasoning. He will show you which placements and which periods he is reading from, so you can follow the argument rather than simply be told a conclusion.
What a consultation is not
This matters more than anything else on this page.
- It is not a prediction of fact. Astrology is an interpretive tradition, not a science of certainty. Nothing said in a consultation is a statement of what will definitely happen.
- It is not medical advice. He does not read on illness, diagnosis or treatment, and will not do so if asked. He does not prescribe stones, rituals or remedies for any health condition. If you or someone close to you is unwell, the doctor treating them is the person to speak to. Nothing here should delay or replace medical care.
- It is not psychological or psychiatric treatment. If you are in distress, please speak to a qualified mental health professional.
- It is not legal, financial or investment advice. Nothing said in a consultation should be relied on in place of a lawyer, an accountant or a licensed financial adviser.
- No outcome is promised. He will not guarantee a marriage, a job, a child, a court result, a visa or a recovery, and any such assurance offered by anyone should be treated with suspicion.
- He will not tell you how long you will live. That answer causes harm whichever way it falls, and it is not given at any price.
You must be eighteen
Consultations are for adults. A reading concerning a child is taken from that child’s parent or legal guardian.
Booking and fees
No payment is taken through this website. There is no payment page, no gateway and no facility to buy anything here. Browsing this site does not create a contract and does not book anything.
The fee is confirmed with you directly when you enquire, before anything is scheduled. A booking is confirmed when he has confirmed it to you — not when a request is sent. He takes a limited number of consultations each month and may be unable to accept a booking.
He may decline or end a consultation, with a full refund of anything paid, if the request falls into the categories above, or if the conduct of the session makes it untenable.
Your birth details
The reading is built entirely on the date, place and time of birth you provide. If those are wrong, the reading will be wrong, and that is not a failure of the work.
Give your time of birth as accurately as you can and say plainly how confident you are in it. If you are unsure, say so — it changes how the chart is handled, and it is far better known in advance than discovered afterwards.
Rescheduling, cancellation and refunds
- You may reschedule once, at no charge, with at least 24 hours’ notice.
- Preparation happens before the call. Once chart preparation has begun, the fee is not refundable, because the work has been done.
- If Aditya cancels, cannot take the reading, or declines the request, anything you have paid is refunded in full.
- Missing a booked consultation without notice is treated as a completed session.
- Disagreeing with what the chart indicates is not grounds for a refund. He is answerable for reading the chart honestly, not for what it says.
Gemstones and remedies
A consultation may include a view on whether a stone suits your chart — including, often, that one you already wear does not, or that none is needed.
No gemstones, yantras or remedial items are sold through this website or by him. If you choose to buy a stone, that is a separate transaction between you and whoever sells it, on their terms. He is not responsible for the quality, authenticity, weight, certification, price or delivery of anything bought elsewhere, and any dispute about a purchase is between you and that seller.
No remedy of any kind is offered for a medical condition.
The written note
A written note follows within about three days of the consultation, covering what was discussed, what your chart indicates and what, if anything, it calls for. It is prepared for you personally. Please do not publish it, resell it, or present it as a reading prepared for somebody else.
Confidentiality and recording
What you say is kept private, as set out in the Privacy Policy.
Please do not record the consultation without asking first. He will likewise not record you without your agreement.
Your decisions are yours
A reading is information to think with. Decisions about your marriage, your work, your money, your health and your family remain yours, and the responsibility for them remains yours. To the fullest extent the law allows, he is not liable for any loss arising from a decision you take after a consultation, or from any action taken on the basis of anything on this website.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for fraud.

The text, design and images on this site belong to Aditya Shastri and may not be copied or reused without permission. The site is offered as it is; it may occasionally be unavailable, and its content may be updated without notice. Any links to other websites are not endorsements of them.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be revised. The current version is always the one on this page, dated at the top. The terms that apply to your consultation are those in force when you book it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Kolkata, West Bengal.
